UIN Jakarta Issues Circular on ZISWAF Participation Through Social Trust Fund Institution

Jakarta, UIN News Online — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has issued Rector’s Circular Letter No. 7 of 2026 concerning the participation in Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF) through the university’s Social Trust Fund (STF) institution. The circular was officially enacted on 23 February 2026 and is effective immediately upon issuance.

The directive is addressed to vice rectors, deans, postgraduate directors, bureau heads, SPI head, institutional leaders, UPT heads, business unit directors, lecturers, education staff (both civil servants and non-ASN), and students across UIN Jakarta.

The circular emphasizes that the collection and management of ZISWAF within the university environment are to be coordinated through the Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta, as the official institutional body responsible for managing Islamic philanthropic funds.

Strengthening Islamic Philanthropy Governance

Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., stated that the policy is part of strengthening Islamic philanthropy governance within the university ecosystem.

“Through this circular, we invite the entire academic community to channel their Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf through STF as the university’s official institution. With a centralized management system, ZISWAF funds can be collected and distributed optimally to support social programs, education, and broader community welfare,” he said.

He added that active participation reflects the moral and social responsibility inherent in being part of an Islamic higher education institution.

Distribution Mechanism and Transparency

The circular outlines that ZISWAF collection and management will be carried out in a coordinated manner through STF UIN Jakarta. Contributions can be transferred through designated official bank accounts as follows:

Donors are required to confirm their contributions via STF contact number 0813-8055-9914 for data recording and reporting purposes. All ZISWAF funds will be managed transparently and accountably, in line with sharia principles and applicable laws.
