UIN Jakarta-IPHI agree to collaborate on Hajj and Umrah counselor’s certification program

Diorama Room, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta and Ikatan Persaudaraan Haji Indonesia (IPHI) agreed to collaborate in organizing the Hajj and Umrah counselor certification program. The agreement was contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis and the Chairman of IPHI Erman Suparno on Friday (01/21/2022) held at Diorama Room, Campus I of UIN Jakarta.

In addition to MoU, IPHI also signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Science (FDIK) UIN Jakarta. The PKS was signed between the Chairman of IPHI Erman Suparno and the Dean of FDIK Suparto.

Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development Lily Surayya Eka Putri, Deputy Dean for Student, Alumni, and cooperation FDIK UIn Jakarta Cecep Sastrawijaya, and Head of Administrative Division of FIDK UIN Jakarta Sundus Nuzulia.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis said the collaboration between UIN Jakarta IPHI was one of the efforts to provide assistance and guidance for Hajj and Umrah both for the community and the government.

However, in matters of hajj and umrah, the Rector requested that IPHI in the future not only cooperate with FDIK but also with other faculties.

“IPHI can cooperate with the Faculty of Psychology in terms of consulting psychological problems for pilgrims for Hajj or Umrah or with the Faculty of Sharia and Law in matters related to religious laws,” said Rector Amany.

Meanwhile, Chairman of IPHI Erman Suparno said that it was an honor to collaborate with UIN Jakarta. Moreover, for the first time, this collaboration was carried out related to the implementation of Hajj and Umrah counselor’s certification program.

He also hopes that both institutions can implement the results of the MoU in various forms of activities. “I hope everything will go smoothly according to the plan,” he hoped. (ns/usa)
