UIN Jakarta Introduces New Student Admission Pathways at the EXPOSE 2025

Student Center Hall, UIN Online News - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted EXPOSE 2025 to officially launch and disseminate information on the New Student Admission (PMB) for the 2025/2026 academic year. Thousands of students from more than one hundred schools in the districts of Banten, Jakarta, and West Java enthusiastically attended this event.

The UIN Jakarta Expose 2025 event was inaugurated by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Professor Asep Saepudin Jahar Ph.D.; the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Ahmad Tholabi LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D.; and the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, Hj. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc., M.Ed., Ph.D  Several leaders from faculties, institutes, and centers within UIN Jakarta were also attended this event.

Rector Asep Jahar, along with the Vice Rector for Academics and the Head of Academic Administration Bureau, symbolically launched five PMB 2025 selection pathway with a drum strike. The Rector previously gave a motivational speech to students who want to continue their studies in the prestigious Islamic university, which received excellent international accreditation.

Rector Asep Jahar encouraged the prospective students to prepare themselves in each selection routes to reach their way into the desired study programs. "Welcome to UIN Jakarta. Make yourself familiar with various selection pathways available. I believe that you will continue your studies in your dreamed study program here at UIN Jakarta and pursue your future aspirations," he urged.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs stated that the UIN Jakarta EXPOSE event served as the formal debut of the selection route established by UIN Jakarta in 2025. 

"I encourage all of you to choose the available selection pathways and get yourself accepted at UIN Jakarta in your desired program," he said.

The UIN Jakarta Expose event, with the presentation of the 2025 PMB paths, included a series of informational sessions towards the 2025 PMB pathways presented by various speakers. Among the speakers were Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, B.Sc., M.Com., the Executive Secretary of SNPMB 2025, who discussed the SNBP and UTBK SNBT pathways; Haris Setiaji, M.I.S., CISDE., CISDV., CITA., MOS, the Coordinator of SSE PMB PTKIN 2025, who conveyed the SPAN PTKIN and UM-PTKIN pathways; and Hj. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc., M.Ed., Ph.D., the Chairperson of PMB UIN Jakarta 2025 and Head of Academic Administration Bureau.

The event was further showcasing exhibitions from many faculties and postgraduate schools, including departments and organizations affiliated with UIN Jakarta. The students involved in UIN Jakarta Expose 2025 were given chances to take Campus Tour of the 1st campus area using the Electric Bus (Bilis).

In his presentation, Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto, B.Sc., M.Com., offered a comprehensive overview of the admission process and relevant regulations for the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) via two pathways: the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT).

"The National Selection for New Student Admission (SNPMB) includes two pathways: SNBP, which is relatively easy as it requires no exams or fees, although the quality of school data is highly influential. "In contrast, SNBT presents a more arduous route as it necessitates participants to undertake a rigorous examination and compete against all students across Indonesia. It is solely rely on scores, including specified ranking system," he added.

Alongside SNBP and SNBT, UIN Jakarta, as a State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN), provides designated admission routes for new students via UM-PTKIN Test Based Pathway and the SPAN-PTKIN Achievement Based Pathway.

Furthermore, Haris Setiaji, M.I.S., CISDE., CISDV., CITA., MOS., as the Coordinator of SSE PMB PTKIN 2025, said that the Electronic Selection System (SSE) has been meticulously developed to facilitate the seamless execution of PMB.  "We have refined the system to guarantee that the new student admission selection process operates seamlessly and effectively," he said.

During the same event, Hj. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc., M.Ed., Ph.D., Chairperson of PMB UIN Jakarta 2025, announced that UIN Jakarta is also offering an independent admission route for prospective students.

"UIN Jakarta offers a standard independent admission route through selection tests utilizing the Electronic Selection System (SSE) and a non-standard pathway based on academic performance, including report card grades, portfolios, and interviews, along with the possibility of using UTBK and UM-PTKIN scores," he said.

The Expose 2025 event signifies the commencement of the new student admission at UIN Jakarta. Prospective students are anticipated to use the several routes accessible in accordance with their own talents and accomplishments.
