UIN Jakarta implements the PPKM Darurat
Rectorate, UIN News Online – To break the chain of Covid-19 infection, UIN Jakarta implements the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM Darurat) as stated in the Rector’s Circular letter numbered B-2878/R/HK.00.7/07/2021 which was issued on July 2, 2021.
The circular letter, which is addressed to all lecturers, education staff, and students, will take effect on July 3-20, 2021. The implementation of Emergency PPKM follows the central government's policy for Java and Bali. The implementation of Emergency PPKM is related to the increasing number of Covid-19 exposures in Indonesia, especially in Java and Bali.
According to the circular letter, the implementation of Emergency PPKM at UIN Jakarta is not much different from the previous policy. All lecturers and education staff carry out official work from home or work from home (WFH) in full, unless there is an urgent matter to be done in the office but still comply with the provisions of Emergency PPKM.
All services are also carried out online and students are prohibited from entering campus. Likewise, student practicum activities, during the period of implementing PPKM, are abolished.
During WFH, all lecturers and education staff are asked not to travel. They are also asked to implement strict health protocols.
One thing that is excluded in the letter is the work unit in the Health sector. The business unit is allowed to continue to serve the community.
Meanwhile, Head of Campus Security Unit (Satpam) Yubi Hamka said all campus entrances during the implementation of Emergency PPKM will be closed and closely guarded.
“The closure was carried out to support the implementation of the Emergency PPKM policy on campus,” said Yubi to UIN News Online on Friday (07/02/2021). (usa/ns)
