UIN Jakarta Hosts Benchmarking Visit on Public Relations and Information Management
Diorama Room, UIN News Online – In an effort to improve and innovate public relations and information management practices, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and IAIN Malikusaleh Lhokseumawe Aceh visited UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Friday (29/11/2024). The benchmarking session focused on sharing strategies and best practices in managing information transparency and enhancing institutional communication.
The delegation was warmly received by Drs. H. Saroni, Head of General Affairs; Prof. Amelia Fauzia, Ph.D., Head of the Research and Community Service Institute (LP2M); Dr. Hj. Wiwi Siti Sajaroh, M.Ag., Head of the Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA); Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.A., Head of the Public Relations and Information Center (PIH); and other members of the public relations team.
In his welcome address, Drs. Saroni emphasized UIN Jakarta’s commitment to fostering collaboration within the network of Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN).
“This benchmarking visit underscores our shared mission to elevate public relations practices across PTKIN institutions. Collaboration like this ensures mutual growth and innovation,” he said.
The event included representatives from UIN Yogyakarta, led by Senior Public Relations Officer Dra. Rahmi Tri Mei Maharani, M.M., and Junior Public Relations Officer Faozi Barkah, S.Ag., S.H. IAIN Malikusaleh Lhokseumawe was represented by Aulia Rahmat and Tomi Faisal.
Zaenal Muttaqin, Head of PIH UIN Jakarta, delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s approach to transparency through its website and social media channels. He emphasized that seamless information dissemination requires active collaboration among institutional departments.
“Our ability to deliver accurate and timely information depends on the openness and cooperation of all units within UIN Jakarta. It’s a team effort,” he explained.
Dra. Rahmi Tri Mei Maharani expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from UIN Jakarta’s experiences. She noted that the insights gained would be instrumental in strengthening public relations efforts at UIN Yogyakarta.
Similarly, Aulia Rahmat from IAIN Malikusaleh Lhokseumawe appreciated the practical strategies shared during the session. “This visit has given us valuable tools to improve our practices. We look forward to implementing these ideas at our institution,” he remarked.
The visit reinforced the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the PTKIN network. By exchanging ideas and strategies, institutions can collectively enhance their public relations and information management, ensuring better service to their communities. (PIH)
