UIN Jakarta Hospital Promotes Health Service Facilities for Students
Student Center Hall, UIN Online News – In order to promote beneficial regular health check for students, UIN Jakarta's Student Affairs and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah clinic conducted the dissemination of BPJS (Social Security Agency) and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Clinic at the Student Center Hall on Tuesday (17/12/2024). With series of activities of free health checks, BPJS transfers, and interactive question and answer sessions with door prizes. participants were enthusiastically participated during the event.
The event was attended by Marisa Julinda, D.M.D., M.H.L., Sp. Pros.; Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Ali Munhanif, Ph.D.; medical team of Syarif Hidayatullah clinic; team of UIN Jakarta's Student Affairs; and students from Student Organizations (Ormawa).
"We are also advancing our health service ecosystem for the society" Marisa Julinda, Director of the Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital, explained that the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Clinic is a health service aiming to provide medical protection for the entire UIN Jakarta academic community.
"Prevention is better than cure. It acts as a precaution by regularly checking your health to avoid serious illnesses in the future," Dr. Buyung Berli, in the opening session of the event, casually explained the importance of maintaining health and utilizing health services available on campus.
In addition, he also provided education related to health services at UIN Jakarta, including clinics and other health facilities that can be accessed by students. He added that the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Clinic, which has been working with BPJS since 2019, continues to provide better health services for the UIN Jakarta academic community.
"This clinic has general polyclinics, dental polyclinics, and mental health services that are all affordable. If you don't have BPJS, you can take care of transferring BPJS here, and that makes it very easy to access health," he added.
When the Q&A session was opened, students from various faculties enthusiastically asked about health services, the flow of BPJS utilization, and the facilities provided by the campus. Interesting door prizes, and free blood sugar check services to participants were also given to the participants. In addition, this event also provided them with the utilization of BPJS card or KTP (Indonesian Identity Card) to check their health, and they will get the results immediately.
One of the participants said that the results of her blood sugar check showed normal conditions. She stated that this event is beneficial because it helps new students to have access towards the health facility at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Clinic. "The blood sugar check is very useful. I hope that UIN Jakarta's clinic and hospital will nurture the health of its students, especially for those who live far from home like me," she added.
In the end, a musical performance by the Student Music Community (KMM Riak), which managed to entertain participants with energetic music and sooth the atmosphere, concluded the event.
It is known that UIN Jakarta is the only State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN) that provides public medical facilities such as hospital and clinic which also helps its students to maintain good shape during their intensive study.
