UIN Jakarta holds the 63rd dies natalis

Main Auditorium,  UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta celebrates the ADIA / IAIN / UIN Jakarta's 63rd Anniversary which this year was forced to be held through Zoom platform and broadcast it via youtube, Wednesday (05/20/20200).

The event entitled ‘Membangun Keunggulan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam dengan Semangat Filantropi’ was officially opened in the Open Senate Session led by Abuddin Nata and filled with speeches by the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Fachrul Rozi.

Present in the event, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Vice Rectors, Deans, professor, and entire academic community of UIN Jakarta. Also present in the event, Rector of UIN Jakarta for the period of 1998-2006 Azyumardi Azra, Rector of UIN Jakarta for the period of 2015-2019 Dede Rosyada.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in her remarks said, UIN Jakarta celebrates its 63rd anniversary in a different climate from the previous years. This is mainly due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia since the beginning of March 2020.

“This pandemic also greatly influenced the academic atmosphere in higher education. For example, an appeal to carry out distance learning and work from home, demands a quick and appropriate response from the leadership and the entire academic community of UIN Jakarta,” said Amany.

Under these conditions, she continue, UIN Jakarta continues to work hard so that the educational process, services for students, research and community service can be carried out as well as possible.

“This can be accomplished by following the recommendations from the relevant ministries to carry out distance learning and an appeal to work from home for all UIN Jakarta academicians,” she added.

UIN Jakarta, said Amany immediately took responsive action so that the appeal could be carried out properly. Class activities continue to be carried out through various online platforms for various teaching and learning activities.

“Even in the Faculty of Medicine (FK), the distance learning activity is also still being carried out by making the basic clinical skills videos by the lecturers,” said Amany.

The Rector also emphasizes that during the pandemic, the Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta had collected and distributed assistance around of Rp. 570 million in a form of food packages and medical equipment.

“In addition, Dharma Wanita of Jakarta also distributes various assistance to orphans, employees, and Dharma Wanita employees in need,” she concluded. (usa/ns)
