UIN Jakarta holds plenary senate meeting

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Senate of UIN Jakarta holds plenary meeting on Wednesday (03/31/2021) held at diorama room, campus I of UIN Jakarta. Present in the event, Head of the University Senate Abuddin Nata, Secretary of Senate Armai Arief, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Vice Rectors, Deans, Director of Graduate School (SPs), and Bureau Chiefs.

In his opening remarks, Abuddin Nata expressed his appreciation towards various accomplishment made by UIN Jakarta during 2020. “In December 2020, UIN Jakarta won three awards at the Appreciation of Islamic Religious Higher Education (ADIKTIS) event initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs,” he said.

On the same occasion, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis conveys the work program throughout 2021. She is optimistic that with the support of all campus elements, the university can realize the targeted work programs so that UIN Jakarta's achievement will increase even higher.

“There are six major strategies that summarize the priorities of the work program in 2021,” saisd Rector Amany.

The six strategies, she continued, are campus internationalization, increasing publications and intellectual property rights, optimizing assets and business development, transforming information systems, optimizing the role of students and alumni, and human resources development.

In the field of campus internationalization, she explained, UIN Jakarta must optimize the implementation of the postgraduate program to attract the interest of international students. Collaboration with international institutions and universities, optimizing services for international students and lecturers, international accreditation, and bilingual classes are also included in this section.

“Others, benchmarking with international universities. This is considered important so that we have a global-oriented model of higher academic development,” said Rector.

To increase publications and intellectual property rights, UIN Jakarta targets the realization of a number of programs, including the establishment of a scientific publication service center, the revitalization of UIN Press, and the downstreaming of UIN Jakarta research products.

She is optimistic that various targets can be realized by reflecting on the achievements of the previous year. In addition to financing, cooperation and academic performance, UIN Jakarta also won a number of prestigious awards, including from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“Therefore, I ask for the full support of the entire academic community, especially the university senate,” she said. (usa)
