UIN Jakarta Holds Pharmacist Oath-Taking Ceremony, Reaffirms Commitment to Ethics and Service
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta once again held an Open Senate Session for the Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the 14th Cohort of Pharmacists from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).
A total of 62 newly graduated pharmacists took their professional oath in a solemn ceremony symbolizing their ethical commitment and professional pride. The event was attended by UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., FIKES Dean, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., Head of the Pharmacist Professional Program, apt. Puteri Amelia, M.Farm., Ph.D., Head of the Ma'had Aly Education Sub-directorate of the Directorate of Pesantren, Dr. Mahrus, S.Ag., M.Ag., Deputy Chair of PD IAI Banten, apt. Mochamad Hasan Alwi, S.Si., and a representative from the South Tangerang Branch of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), apt. Agitama Alfarid Syehabuddin, S.Farm.
The session was officially opened by the FIKES Dean, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., followed by a report from the Head of the Pharmacist Program, apt. Puteri Amelia, M.Farm., Ph.D. The ceremony also included the awarding of Pharmacist Oath Certificates, Pharmacist Competency Certificates, and Professional Pharmacist Certificates. Graduates also received a medal as a symbol of their achievement.
In his remarks, Rector Prof. Asep expressed his gratitude and pride for the newly inaugurated pharmacists. He emphasized that UIN Jakarta will always be a home for its alumni to grow and thrive.
“UIN Jakarta will always be your home. We are proud of your achievements today, and our doors are always open for you to pursue further studies or professional work with our partner institutions such as hospitals, primary clinics, and other healthcare organizations. Continue to actively contribute to society, especially in pharmaceutical-related issues. We look forward to your great contributions,” he stated.
FIKES Dean, Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., also expressed her appreciation to all those who supported the pharmacist education process at UIN Jakarta.
“My deepest gratitude goes to everyone involved—lecturers, hospitals, health departments, pharmaceutical industries, KBF—and especially to the parents who have wholeheartedly supported and patiently accompanied their children’s journey,” she said emotionally.
Head of the Pharmacist Professional Program, apt. Puteri Amelia, M.Farm., Ph.D., acknowledged that the graduates’ journey had been far from easy.
“We have witnessed their hard work and perseverance—from classroom learning, field practices at health departments and pharmaceutical industries, to completing a series of examinations—all carried out with dedication,” she explained.
As a form of recognition, eight students received awards for achieving a perfect GPA of 4.00. The awardees were:

- apt. Mutia Irani, S.Farm.

- apt. Nuri Nur’azizah, S.Farm.
- apt. Ziyah Azkiyatul Barokah, S.Farm.
The ceremony became even more heartfelt as graduates celebrated this milestone with their families. The oath they took was more than a formality—it marked the beginning of a larger journey of service to society and the healthcare field.
