UIN Jakarta Holds National Chess Competition

Student Affairs Building, UIN NEWS Online – UIN Jakarta through Student Affairs held UIN Jakarta National Chess Competition 2017 on Saturday (30/12/2017) at Student Building of UIN Jakarta.

Sub-division Head of Talent Development and Student Interest Raden Trisno Riyadi MM explained that UIN Jakarta National Chess is a National Student Chess competition held by FORSA UIN Chess Division.

"This match is a fast chess match (15 minutes) of the individual, followed by 28 universities in Indonesia with the number of 92 students," said Trisno via e-mail on Sunday (31/12/2017).

Interestingly, according to Trisno, the match UIN Jakarta National Chess Competition 2017 is also followed by students with visual impairment (disability) from Pasundan University of Bandung.

"Her name is Miftahul Jannah playing with a special chess and get a score of 3 (from 7 Rounds)," he explained.

According to Trisno's report, the one-day match was a trophy prize and coaching money. The match with 7 rounds, each round takes 30 minutes.

Out as the first winner, Dani Kurnia Christian University Satya Wacana Salatiga Central Java, second winner Akbar Adi Putra Irawan Padjajaran University Bandung and third winner Azmi Muhammad Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. The winner gets a trophy with a total prize of 10 million rupiah.

In the event, the opportunity to open the game, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Yusron Razak MA. In his speech, Yusron appreciated the national-level chess activity which was first held in UIN Jakarta.

"Hopefully it can be an arena for improving the student achievements in general," he said. (usa)
