UIN Jakarta Holds a Meeting on Aligning Perceptions of Lecturer Career Development
Diorama Room, UIN News Online - State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Meeting of Common Perception of Assessment of the Implementation of Development Services and Professional Career Development of Lecturers on Monday (12/8/2024) in Diorama Room, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This meeting is an implementation of directives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia.
Dr. Imam Safe'i, M.Pd., Head of the General Administration and Personnel Bureau of UIN Jakarta, in his speech stated, "Today we are implementing the directives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, namely the Meeting of Common Perception of Assessment of the Implementation of Development Services and Professional Career Development of Lecturers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta."
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A. In his direction, Prof. Tholabi emphasized the importance of perception alignment in the career development of lecturers at UIN Jakarta.
"This common perception is crucial to ensure that every lecturer gets the same opportunity in their career development," said Prof. Tholabi.
The main session of the meeting was filled by Professor of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta for Psychology, Prof. Dr. Abd. Mujib, M.Ag., M.Psi, who explained about the regulations and technical guidelines for the implementation of services and professional development of lecturers' careers. Prof. Mujib explained various important aspects of lecturer career development, including assessment criteria and steps that need to be taken to improve lecturer quality.
"Lecturer career development is not only about promotion, but also continuous competency improvement," said Prof. Mujib.
The meeting was attended by structural officials, lecturer representatives, and related staff from various faculties within UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The meeting participants looked enthusiastic, which was reflected in the interactive question and answer session after the presentation of the material.
By holding this meeting, it is expected to create a harmonized understanding of the coaching and professional development of lecturers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, which in turn will improve the quality of education and research at the institution.
