UIN Jakarta Holds 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting to Strengthen Governance and Accelerate Transformation Toward PTNBH
Ciputat, UIN News Online — Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting as a strategic forum to strengthen institutional governance, enhance human resource capacity, and accelerate the university’s transformation toward State University with Legal Entity status (PTNBH).
The event was held at Syahida Inn on Monday–Tuesday, 2–3 February 2026, bringing together university leaders and key stakeholders from academic and administrative units to align strategic priorities for institutional development.
The Pre-Leadership Meeting serves as the initial stage of UIN Jakarta’s annual Leadership Meeting (Rakerpim), functioning as a policy-formulation forum through seminars, panel discussions, and commission-based working sessions involving various university units.
UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized that the forum plays a vital role in strengthening internal consolidation and preparing the university’s long-term strategic direction.
“This forum is an important space to strengthen internal consolidation, improve governance, and prepare strategic steps for UIN Jakarta’s transformation toward PTNBH,” he stated.
The meeting featured a keynote session delivered by Prof. Komarudin, M.Si., Rector of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), who highlighted that transformation toward PTNBH requires not only structural reform but also cultural and mindset transformation within the institution.
Participants were divided into six thematic commissions focusing on key strategic areas, including:
- Green campus development and environmental sustainability
- Bureaucratic reform and institutional readiness for PTNBH status
- Development of university business units and financial autonomy
- Internationalization and global partnerships
- Strengthening research, publications, and community engagement
- Digital transformation and academic information systems
Each commission conducted in-depth discussions to evaluate institutional performance and formulate strategic recommendations for 2026 policy direction.
On the second day, all commissions finalized their proposals, which were consolidated in a plenary session and adopted as part of UIN Jakarta’s institutional roadmap for 2026.
Through this agenda, UIN Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening governance, improving competitiveness, and accelerating its transformation into a globally competitive and autonomous Islamic higher education institution.
