UIN Jakarta Holds 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting, Rector Affirms Readiness for PTNBH Transformation
Syahida Inn, Ciputat, UIN News Online — Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially held the 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting as part of its strategic agenda to strengthen institutional governance, enhance human resource capacity, and accelerate the university’s transformation toward State University with Legal Entity status (PTNBH).
The forum took place at Syahida Inn on Monday, 2 February 2026, and was attended by the university leadership, including the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, Directors of Graduate School, Heads of Bureau, Heads of Institutions, Center Directors, and unit leaders across the university.
The Pre-Leadership Meeting serves as the initial stage of the annual Leadership Work Meeting (Rakerpim), designed to align strategic priorities and evaluate institutional performance through seminars, panel discussions, and commission-based working groups.
UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized that the forum plays a central role in consolidating internal governance and preparing the university for long-term transformation.
“This forum is a key space for strengthening institutional consolidation, improving governance, and ensuring UIN Jakarta’s readiness in its transformation toward PTNBH,” he stated.
The meeting highlighted several strategic priorities, including strengthening digital governance systems, advancing the Green Campus initiative, improving institutional efficiency, and reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic excellence and global competitiveness.
Chair of the 2026 Rakerpim Committee, Prof. Muhammad Zuhdi, M.Ed., Ph.D., stated that UIN Jakarta is currently entering a critical phase of institutional transformation toward PTNBH status, which is considered a strategic necessity in higher education development.
He added that UIN Jakarta is among the most prepared State Islamic Universities (PTKIN) to undertake this transformation, given its strong academic foundation, governance system, and institutional readiness.
The forum also featured thematic commissions discussing key development areas, including:
- Green Campus development and sustainability
- Bureaucratic reform and governance transformation toward PTNBH
- Development of university business units
- Internationalization and global partnerships
- Strengthening research, publication, and community engagement
- Digital transformation and information systems
Through this agenda, each commission is expected to formulate strategic recommendations that will be integrated into UIN Jakarta’s 2026 institutional roadmap.
On the same occasion, the Rector also underlined that the transformation toward PTNBH is not merely an administrative change, but a fundamental shift in institutional mindset, management culture, and academic competitiveness.
With the implementation of the 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting, UIN Jakarta reaffirms its commitment to strengthening governance, enhancing institutional performance, and accelerating its transformation into a globally competitive Islamic higher education institution.
