Banten, UIN News Online – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta once again reaffirms its commitment to providing broad opportunities for student development, not only academically but also non-academically. This time, a proud achievement came from the Tapak Suci and Pagar Nusa Divisions of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) under the UIN Jakarta Student Sports Federation (Forsa), who won nine medals at the 4th National Silat Benteng Cisadane Championship on Thursday (May 8, 2025).

The championship was held from May 2 to 4, 2025 at Mal Bale Kota, Tangerang, Banten. UIN Jakarta’s silat athletes succeeded in winning three gold medals, two silver medals, and four bronze medals. With this achievement, UIN Jakarta was named the third overall champion in this prestigious competition, which was attended by athletes from all across Indonesia and abroad.

The three gold medals were won by Moh. Agung Septian Dude, Muhammad Dzikri Alwafaa, and Muhammad Zaki Alfarezi. Silver medals were earned by Falih Rizky Anhari and Bintang Adnin Ibrahim. Meanwhile, four bronze medals were brought home by Muhammad Rizqi Alfareza Naryan, Khansa Tsabitah, Muhammad Fauzan, and Aufa Rifky Ahmadi.

One of the gold medalists, Muhammad Dzikri Alwafaa, shared the struggle he and his team underwent before the competition. For three full weeks, they trained intensively from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM WIB, focusing on improving physical fitness, technique, and understanding the latest pencak silat rules.

“At times, I felt my fitness wasn’t at its best and my heart raced due to the excitement of the competition. But alhamdulillah, thanks to the prayers of my parents, coaches, and never-fading training spirit, I was able to finish the matches with the best results,” said Dzikri.

This success reflects UIN Jakarta’s dedication not only to honing intellectual intelligence but also to nurturing the talents and character of students in various fields. Through the various Student Activity Units available, UIN Jakarta continues to open space for the development of students’ interests and talents, whether those skills were nurtured since high school or newly blossomed during college.

With full support for students’ potential in sports, arts, culture, and character development, UIN Jakarta is committed to becoming a campus that not only produces graduates but also fosters a superior and accomplished generation in various aspects of life.
