UIN Jakarta finished the UMPTKIN selection test

Ciputat, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta has successfully completed the admission selection for prospective students through the State Islamic Religious College Entrance Examination (UMPTKIN). The online selection system or Electronic Selection System or SSE used by UMPTKIN is considered positive because it allows the registrants to take exams more efficiently and in accordance with recommended health protocols.

According to the schedule set by the SSE UMPTKIN Central Committee, UIN Jakarta will hold UMPTKIN selection from Monday to Thursday (08/03-06/2020). “Alhamdulillah, the UMPTKIN selection process at UIN Jakarta has been successfully carried out,” said Head of Publication and Documentation Sub Division of UIN Jakarta Samsudin to UIN News Online, Friday (08/07/2020).

Samsuddin said, the selection was followed by 8798 applicants who were divided into 12 exam sessions. According to time constraints and infrastructure availability, around 740 applicants or 2220 registrants participated in each day.

The examination process itself is supervised by an examination supervisor and IT team that specially selected to carry out supervisory duties. This team monitors each exam participant in carrying out the exam according to the established rules.

Furthermore, Samsudin appreciated the online selection. “The implementation of UM-PTKIN Electronic Selection System (SSE) is a tremendous leap made by the central committee while maintaining the quality of student candidate selection,” he said.

The online-based selection system itself is expected to be a role model for the selection of new student admissions in both UIN Jakarta and PTKIN. “This system is very innovative and effective in maximizing technology in the industrial era 4.0,” he explained.

In addition, continued Samsudin, the online selection system also tends to be more efficient for registrants. The online selection system is also in line with recommended health protocols in avoiding the threat of corona virus.  (usa/zm)
