UIN Jakarta Established Cooperation With Coventry University

SPs Auditorium, UIN News Online – In order to increase the academic climates in both institutions, UIN Jakarta and Coventry University established a cooperation in the field of academic development. The MoU is signed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA and Deputy Rector of Coventry University Prof. Richard Dashword in SPs UIN Jakarta Auditorium, Thursday, (3/9).

Through this agreement, UIN Jakarta and Coventry University are ready to exchange their students and lecturers, conducting collaborative research, and publishing some scientific articles.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada in his remarks expected the students and lecturers can exchange the publication and research cooperation both in UIN Jakarta and Coventry University.

“We will give opportunities to UIN Jakarta Students who have proficiency in English or Arabic to study abroad, either in the form of short courses and student exchanges either in the form of short courses and student exchanges. We are from the ranks of the Rector and the Senate are committed to it,” said Dede.

In line with UIN Jakarta Rector, Richard Dashword also stated that Coventry University deliberately chose UIN Jakarta as academic cooperation partners. This is because UIN Jakarta is one of the potential university for Islamic studies and sciences in Indonesia.

“Hopefully, this cooperation can contribute significantly to the growth of the academic climate of each university,” said Dashword.

For information, Coventry University is a public research university in the city of Coventry, England. The University was formerly known as Lanchester Polytechnic until 1987 and Coventry Polytechnic until it was awarded university status. (usa/eae)
