UIN Jakarta Distributes Assistance for Tsunami Victims in Banten

Banten, UIN News Online – Academic Community of UIN Jakarta distributes Rp 66,313,500 to aid the ongoing relief efforts in Pandeglang, Banten. The assistance was handed over directly by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada, accompanied by Vice Rector for Cooperation Prof Dr Murodi, Head of Puslitpen UIN Jakarta Wahdi Sayuti MA, Head of PPM Djaka Badranaya ME, and Sub-division Head of Home Affairs of UIN Jakarta Abdul Halim MA and received by several aid posts such as Islamic College Annizhomiyah Jaha aid post and refugee camp in Caringin, Labuan.

Rector in his speech said this assistance was sourced from the entire academic community of UIN Jakarta who concerned about the disaster which caused many deaths, injuries, and caused various damages. “Hopefully, this assistance could lessen their burden,” said Rector.

Representing the refugee community, Islamic College Annizhomiyah Jaha aid post coordinator H. Tb. Agus Umam expressed his gratitude to the Rector and academic community of UIN Jakarta.

“Insha Allah, we will immediately distribute the assistance to the victims,” said Agus

A similar matter was also conveyed by the Representative of the Banyubiru refugee camp, H Ajat Sudrajat. According to Ajat, the available funds will be distributed entirely to meet the health and logistical needs of the refugees

Separately, Vice Rector for Cooperation Prof Dr Murodi also expressed his gratitude to academic community of UIN Jakarta. “On behalf of the leaders, we would like to send our most sincere thanks to academic community of UIN Jakarta. Hopefully this donation can be useful to the people affected by the disaster,” said Murodi. (usa)
