UIN Jakarta Discusses Global Acceleration Strategy with Universitas Indonesia Internationalization Director in Pre-Leadership Meeting 2026
ADIA Convention Center, Ciputat, UIN News Online — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a strategic session on global acceleration and internationalization development by inviting the Director of Internationalization of Universitas Indonesia (UI) as a keynote speaker in the 2026 Pre-Leadership Meeting.
The forum, held on Tuesday (03/02/2026) at the ADIA Convention Center, is part of UIN Jakarta’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position toward becoming a World-Class Islamic University through systematic institutional transformation and global engagement.
The event was attended by university leadership, including the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, Directors of Graduate School, Heads of Bureaus, Heads of Institutions, Center Directors, and other structural leaders across UIN Jakarta.
Strengthening Global Strategy and Institutional Reform
The invited speaker, Dr. Fadhilah Muslim, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Director of Internationalization Education at Universitas Indonesia, presented UI’s strategic framework for accelerating global reputation through structured internationalization policies.
She emphasized that internationalization is not limited to student or staff mobility abroad, but must also be embedded within the campus ecosystem through Internationalization at Home and Internationalization Abroad.
According to her, UI implements a 60:40 strategy prioritizing Internationalization at Home, including inviting foreign lecturers, visiting professors, and postdoctoral researchers to build a global academic environment within the campus.
Building a Data-Driven Global University
The presentation also highlighted the importance of data-driven governance in achieving global ranking targets. Institutions must continuously monitor key indicators used by global ranking systems such as QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE), particularly those related to international student ratio and global research collaboration.
She noted that strengthening international academic networks and increasing the presence of foreign students are essential components in improving institutional competitiveness.
