UIN Jakarta Deploys Thirty One Elite Student Researchers to Anchor High Level Digital Islamic Humanities Defenses Across Top Southeast Asian Universities
SINGAPORE, UIN Online News – Solidifying its strategic footprint within the regional intellectual landscape the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has officially launched its 2026 International Student Mobility cohort to execute high-stakes academic defenses across Singapore Malaysia and Thailand. Comprising thirty-one rigorously selected student delegates spanning undergraduate master’s and doctoral programs the academic mission targets deep institutional integrations with premier global institutions including the National University of Singapore and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
The institutional delegation was formally sent off by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and International Cooperation Professor Usep Abdul Matin Ph.D. alongside the executive organizational committee leads Dr. Mauidlotun Nisa and Hikmah Irfaniah.
Breaking away from standard short-term international tourism models the primary objective of this intensive mobility deployment is the immediate execution of peer-reviewed research dissemination. The selected students will actively defend their scientific papers at the 5th Seminar Serantau Peradaban Islam scheduled at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on July 21 and July 22 2026.
The Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities Dr. Ade Abdul Hak will anchor the summit as a designated Keynote Speaker guiding a diverse research matrix formulated across the faculty’s entire educational spectrum. The student defenses will directly tackle critical global disruptions consisting of:
-
Digital Islamic Humanities and AI: Exploring the functional intersections between modern artificial intelligence integration and classical Islamic text preservation.
-
Cultural Heritage Sustainability: Formulating advanced preservation techniques for the Islamic cultural artifacts of Nusantara.
-
Multicultural Linguistics and Translation: Deconstructing socio-religious transformations and literacy frameworks within cross-border academic environments.
By designing the program to incorporate multiple academic tiers including Arabic Literature History of Islamic Civilization Library Science and English Literature UIN Jakarta ensures a cross-disciplinary approach to regional problem-solving. The strategic visits to Singapore’s elite research facilities and Thailand’s Prince of Songkla University are specifically built to allow postgraduate researchers to construct direct global networks with international scholars.
Through the intensive execution of the 2026 International Student Mobility program the faculty successfully bypasses superficial internationalization. By forcing its students to defend active research proposals on global stages UIN Jakarta effectively produces adaptive high-impact graduates fully capable of translating Indonesian humanities and progressive Islamic values into recognized global academic assets.
