UIN Jakarta Deploys Performance Metrics to Award Elite Undergraduates for Journal Publications and Global Championships

JAKARTA, UIN Online News – The Islamic Education (PAI) Department within the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially verified and honored seven elite undergraduate candidates for clearing rigorous productivity and achievement benchmarks in 2026. The executive award ceremony operated as a primary structural anchor during the department's 69th Anniversary gala, staged at the central Prof. Zakiyah Daradjat Theater Auditorium on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

The specialized accolades were divided into two operational segments, isolating four high-performing students within the Academic Research Track and three standout candidates in the Competitive Non-Academic Track.

The Chair of the PAI Department, Dr. Suwendi, M.Ag., clarified that the institutional recognition is engineered to reinforce a merit-based culture within the university. In his strategic evaluation, undergraduate excellence must transcend standard Grade Point Averages (GPA), demands data-backed contributions to scientific literature, independent intellectual publications, and verified public field engagement.

"This annual audit and awards matrix functions simultaneously as an executive appreciation tool and a motivation catalyst to scale up student competitiveness. Our undergraduates are trained to bypass passive classroom learning to deliver measurable, real-world solutions that directly elevate the wider society," Dr. Suwendi remarked.

Within the Academic Research Track, the university board verified the candidates' individual intellectual portfolios, tracking strict performance metrics across peer-reviewed journal citations, book publishing, and public policy essays:

• Siti Dian Nurfitri: Successfully published two certified books, executed two independent civic mission projects, and authored two published public media policy opinions.

• Nurul Hafidoh: Successfully secured a peer-reviewed scientific journal publication indexed in the national Sinta 6 registry, alongside authoring two books and one analytical opinion column.

• Salsa Maulida Handayani: Executed two independent civic development interventions, authored one book, and published two independent scientific research papers.

• Aidah Mutmainnah Nst: isolated as a top research producer after successfully publishing two distinct scientific papers registered in the national Sinta 6 index, complemented by one book and two published media essays.

Concurrently, the Competitive Non-Academic Track processed candidates who expanded the department's institutional presence across highly competitive local, national, and international tournament matrices:

• Joevanka Anwar: Cleared a multi-disciplinary triple victory, clinching the First Place title in a regional Futsal tournament, First Place in a regional public speaking championship, and securing the National First Place Championship in the classical text translation and recitation (Baca dan Terjemah Kitab) tournament.

• Nuraini: Successfully projected the university's presence onto the global stage by winning the Second Place medal at the prestigious international Drum Corps International (DCI) world championship, paired with a Third Place finish in the international Soundsport Challenge Class arena.

• Khadijah Al Fatih Rachmat: Secured the elite National Best Writer accolade, advanced as a national Top 10 finalist in a major creative writing tournament, and cleared the highly selective certification phase in a premier national publication project.

Dr. Suwendi concluded his briefing by emphasizing that these empirical student triumphs act as a direct mirror reflecting the internal health of the university's academic ecosystem.
