UIN Jakarta Continues to Setup the Campus Environment

Academic Building, UIN NEWS Online – Along with the launching of globality, autonomy, and humanity movement in UIN Jakarta by Rector Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada some time ago, the campus environment is now constantly laid out. Structuring done so UIN Jakarta looks more humane and civilized in the eyes of public as an Islamic institution of higher education.

Among the campus environment that is laid out is the means of parking of motor vehicles, especially for two-wheeled vehicles. Motorcycle parking is now beginning to be arranged, starting at the entrance of the campus towards the Central Library to the front of the Student Center.

The Head of General Affairs Encep Dimyati MA said that arrangement of motorcycle parking is done because the previous arrangement was a chaos and blocking the road. Even the number of motorcycles parked carelessly also makes the view unsightly.

“We will arrange the motorcycles neatly, should there be any stubborn ones, we will deflate their tires instantly,” said Encep to UIN NEWS Online at Academic, Tuesday (18/4/2017).

Not only has the motorcycle parking will be arranged. In some parking areas such as at Central Library were not spared from the movement of humanity campus. In this area, the arrangement would not only be against the parking of vehicles but also including its facilities.

"In the area it used to look dirty and a lot of dust. But once laid out, it becomes a bit humane, "he said.

Encep said, parking facilities in the Central Library building has actually been the responsibility of outsourching, namely CV Gerbang Berkah (GB) Parking. However, the management seems to pay more attention to the parked vehicles rather than the condition of parking facilities.

“I had threatened to the management (of GB Parking). If they can’t arrange the parking environment I would replace it with other better management," he joked.

The issue of parking on campus UIN Jakarta until now it still leaves a problem. Besides the narrowness of the land, the discipline of the rider also has not been entrenched so that if not arranged will remain chaotic.

Therefore, Encep hopes that in an effort to implement the humanity movement on campus, environmental order and parking discipline becomes a shared responsibility.

"If the parking is organized well, it would be a beautiful view. Even the guests who come will feel at home and praise the beauty of the UIN Jakarta campus, "he explained. (usa-rs)
