UIN Jakarta Chemistry Students Earn Honors at FERASERI 2025 Traditional Dance Competition

FST, UIN News Online — A student team from the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, received First Runner-up Honorable Mention at the FERASERI 2025 Ratoh Jaroe Competition, recognizing their outstanding performance in one of Indonesia's renowned traditional dance events.

The achievement was the result of months of intensive training that emphasized discipline, teamwork, and synchronization. During the competition, the team delivered a dynamic Ratoh Jaroe performance distinguished by precise choreography, rhythmic coordination, and strong stage presence, earning high marks from the panel of judges.

Beyond the competition itself, the team's participation reflects the Faculty's commitment to preserving Indonesia's rich cultural heritage, particularly the traditions of Saman and Ratoh Jaroe dance. It also highlights the ability of UIN Jakarta students to excel both academically and in extracurricular pursuits.

Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prof. Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., congratulated the students on their achievement.

"This accomplishment demonstrates that our students excel not only in science and research but also in preserving Indonesia's cultural heritage. We hope this success inspires them to continue representing the Faculty and the University with distinction at future competitions," he said.
