UIN Jakarta celebrates its 64th anniversary

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – The peak of ADIA / IAIN / UIN Jakarta's 64th Anniversary this year is celebrated simply at the Harun Nasution Auditorium building on Thursday (05/20/2021) and attended by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, the Chairman of University Senate Abuddin Nata, Vice Rectors, Faculty Deans, professors, and and other academicians.

Also present in the event, the Chairman of IKALUIN who also served as Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI TB Ace Hasan Syadzili, representatives of the South Tangerang City Government, the police, the TNI, and business partners.

Apart from being held offline with strict health protocols, the event with the theme "Green Starts from Campus for Happier Earth" was also held online through the Zoom and Youtube channels. In addition, this event also presented a speech by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, KH Ma'ruf Amin.

Rector Amany Lubis in her speech invited all academicians to always be grateful to Allah (tahuddus binni'mah) for the various accomplishment achieved by UIN Jakarta during its 64 years of existence.

 “Until now, UIN Jakarta tried to develop itself into a world-class higher education institution with a global reputation and prioritizes the integration of religious and secular science,” said Rector.

The Chancellor also emphasized that in 2021, UIN Jakarta is entering the second stage of UIN Jakarta's milestone achievement, namely capacity strengthening for excellence research university (2020-2024 milestones).

In the second milestone, according to the Rector, the performance achievements were marked by an increase in the quality and productivity of research and scientific publications. She also mentioned various national accomplishment achieved by UIN Jakarta during 2020, namely the Appreciation Award for Islamic Religious Higher Education (Adiktis) from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“This is the result of our hard work. Therefore, we must work even harder to maintain the reputation of UIN Jakarta, both at the national and international levels. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible” she said. (usa/ns)
