UIN Jakarta Celebrates Groundbreaking for News Fikes Building

South Tangerang, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta celebrates the construction of new Fikes building at Pisangan, Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Friday (06/17/2022).

Present in the groundbreaking ceremony, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs Nizar Ali, , Head of University Senate Abuddin Nata, Vice Rector of General Administration Ahmad Rodoni, Vice Rector of Student Affairs Arief Subhan, Deans, and invited guests.

The Fikes building will be built on an area of 4,000 square meters. The construction costs come from State Sharia Securities (SBSN).

Nizar said the construction of this building must always be controlled so that it is completed on time and meets quality standards. “Please remember, this SBSN can be interpreted as a blessing, but at the same time it can also be a disaster,” he said.

SBSN is a blessing because UIN Jakarta can build a representative integrated lecture building. It seems difficult to materialize or at least it will take quite a long time if it has to be financed by the state budget.

On the other hand, according to Nizar, SBSN can become a disaster if it is not managed properly and properly due to immature planning, poorly managed, and weak supervision.

Nizar further said, with the relatively large cost value, the temptation for SBSN is also great for the parties involved. “If that happens, it will result in poor quality building that can lead to a variety of problems and can even cause the construction process to stall because it cannot be completed on time,” said Nizar.

Dean of Fikes Zilhadia in her report said report said that the Fikes building is currently still merged with the Faculty of Medicine (FK). This is because Fikes was previously born from one faculty name, namely the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK). Over time, FKIK was then separated into two different faculties.

Fikes students currently reach more than 1,400 people. The ratio of new student admissions every year is 1:40 and the ratio of the Student Achievement Scholarship Program (PBSB) is 1:80. Fikes now has five study programs, namely Pharmacist, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacist Profession, and Nurse Profession.

“In addition, Fikes UIN Jakarta is the only PTKIN that has a Pharmacist Study Program,” she said.

For information, the new Fikes building will be built as high as four floors. In addition to the main lecture building and offices, there are also other supporting facilities, such as laboratories and warehouses as well as parking facilities and parks. (ns/usa)
