UIN Jakarta-BPJS Kesehatan are agree to cooperate

Jakarta, UIN News Online – To optimize the implementation of the JKN (National Health Insurance)-KIS (The Indonesian Health Card) Program, UIN Jakarta-BPJS Kesehatan (Healthcare and Social Security Agency) have signed a memorandum of understanding (Mou) on Thursday (09/10/2020).

The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis welcomed the initiation of cooperation carried out by both parties. According to Amany, every BPJS participant has the right to get health insurance. Amany also said that the BPJS program emphasizes a cross subsidy system, where the rich help pay for the poor. Amany also added that UIN Jakarta is ready to encourage its students and academics to provide an understanding about the importance of the JKN-KIS program to the wider community.

“I hope that BPJS Kesehatan can continue to provide health insurance protection, and improve its services to the community,” said Rector.

Meanwhile the Director of BPJS Kesehatan Fachmi Idris said that through this program, UIN Jakarta is expected to encourage its students in educating the public about the JKN-KIS Program.

“As agents of change, students and academics are expected to participate in encouraging the surrounding community to build a mutual cooperation mindset through information sharing and socialization efforts related to the JKN-KIS program,” said Fachmi.

For information, apart from optimizing the implementation of the JKN-KIS Program, both UIN Jakarta and BPJS Kesehatan also agreed to cooperate in the fields of education, research and community service, as well as organizing seminars, workshops, focus group discussions and other professional meetings.
