UIN Jakarta-Atikbud Riyadh holds international webinar
Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta in collaboration with the educational and cultural attaché of Riyadh, IMLA Indonesia, UIN Malang, and King Saud University held an International webinar titled “Inovasi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Pasca Pandemi Covid-19”.
The webinar presented six resource persons, namely Abd Aziz Ahmad, the Indonesian LBPP Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Badrus Sholeh, the Attache for Education and Culture of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Ali Ma'yuf, Lecturer at King Saud University, Tulus Musthofa, General Chairperson of IMLA Indonesia, Mamluatul Hasanah, Lecturer at UIN Malang, and Azkia Muharom Albantani Lecturer of FITK UIN Jakarta.
Abd Aziz Ahmad in his speech as expressed his gratitude for the implementation of this event. According to Aziz, this webinar is a very appropriate event to be held during this pandemic for several reasons.
First, in 2022, the Indonesian government will become the chief executive of the G-20 with global policies to implement post-pandemic economic recovery.
Second, the challenges faced by Arabic language teachers and practitioners in innovating online learning after the Covid-19 pandemic will be one of the directions that need to be followed by various universities in Indonesia.
Third, the Atdikbud of the Indonesian Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was assigned to hold educational collaboration between universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and universities in Indonesia.
“We emphasize the importance of opening up opportunities in other study programs,” he said.
Fourth, said Aziz, Arabic as the official language of the United Nations will be more important if it is associated with various international challenges, including economic cooperation, conflict resolution and maintaining harmonious global political relations.
“This is a challenge for Arabic language practitioners to collaborate with stakeholders on a larger scale,” said Aziz. (musam/mf/usa)
