UIN Jakarta and FEMH Taiwan Officially Extend Health Sector Cooperation

Main Meeting Room, UIN Online News - The International Cooperation Service Center (PLKI) of UIN Jakarta has agreed to continue its cooperation with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) Taiwan. The agreement took place in the Main Meeting Room of the UIN Jakarta Rectorate Building on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA., Ph.D., warmly welcomed the FEMH Taiwan delegation for the signing of the cooperation agreement. Additionally, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at UIN Jakarta, Dr. Achmad Zaki, M. Epid., Sp.OT., presented a report on the previous cooperation efforts.

FEMH Vice President, Dr. Shu-Wen, responded positively to the collaboration. It is noted that the signing of the MoU between UIN Jakarta and FEMH took place two years ago on May 9, 2024, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Amany Burhanuddin Umar Lubis, Lc., M.A.

FEMH has visited UIN Jakarta several times, leading to numerous collaborative efforts. The cooperation between UIN Jakarta and FEMH includes joint research projects with FEMH teachers and staff, internships, and student exchanges.

The signing was also witnessed by the Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Affairs of UIN Jakarta, Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., along with several leaders from FEMH, including Vice President FEMH Dr. Shu-Wen Chang, Dr. Chih-Hung Chang, Neurosurgeon Dr. Chung-Shi Wen, and others.

The first agreement was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Rector of UIN Jakarta and the Vice President of FEMH. The second agreement was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by the Dean of FK UIN Jakarta and the Vice President of FEMH.

The agreements between UIN Jakarta and FEMH differ from those between FK UIN Jakarta and FEMH. Therefore, this signing involved two agreements: the MoU and the MoA. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both institutions.

The event concluded with a group photo of the leaders from UIN Jakarta and FEMH, followed by an exchange of souvenirs between the two parties.
