UIN Jakarta and Detikcom Collaborate on Media and Social Media Branding Workshop
Prof. Aqib Suminto Theater, UIN News Online — UIN Jakarta partnered with Detikcom hosts a workshop titled "Detikcom Goes to Campus" on Wednesday (20/11/24). Held at the Prof. Aqib Suminto Theater of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication Science (FDIKOM), the event aimed to deepen the academic community's expertise in media branding and social media strategies, providing actionable insights for the digital age.
Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.A., Head of UIN Jakarta’s Center for Information and Public Relation expressed his gratitude for Detikcom’s ongoing collaboration. He highlighted its role in the university’s success. “Detikcom’s support in promoting UIN Jakarta has been instrumental, helping us secure the top rank in the PTKIN Webometrics category,” he said.
Dr. Fita Faturokhmah, M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FDIKOM, emphasized the strategic importance of social media in communication. She outlined three key components: internet integration, identity building, and bridging spatial and temporal gaps.
The first session, presented by Ardhi Suryadhi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Detikcom, delved into the dynamic challenges of modern media. He emphasized the need for professionals to master three essential skills: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve online visibility, social media management to build stronger audience engagement, and the integration of artificial intelligence to streamline workflows and enhance content delivery. “In today’s media landscape, writing is no longer enough. Professionals must adapt to technological advancements to stay ahead,” Ardhi remarked.
The second session, led by Karel Anderson, Head of Detikcom’s Brand Communication Division, introduced the “Jurus UIN” concept for branding on social media. The approach highlights the importance of Niat (Purpose) to set clear objectives, Strategi (Strategy) to create a consistent identity, and Delivery to craft impactful and targeted content. “Social media is more than just a platform; it’s a tool for shaping perceptions and creating meaningful connections,” Karel stated.
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants enthusiastically sought advice and practical solutions from the speakers. The lively discussion underscored the relevance of the topics and the participants' eagerness to apply their learnings.
This collaborative event underscored UIN Jakarta's commitment to equipping its community with cutting-edge skills and knowledge. By fostering partnerships with industry leaders like Detikcom, the university aims to enhance its institutional branding and strengthen its position as a leading academic institution in Indonesia.
