UIN Jakarta and BPIP RI Hold General Lecture on Pancasila Ideology Development and Cooperation Signing

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News - UIN Jakarta hosted a general lecture on the development of Pancasila ideology in collaboration with the Directorate of Socialization and Communication of the Indonesian Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development (BPIP RI) through a book review titled "Pancasila from Indonesia for the World." In addition to this agenda, the event also formalized the cooperation between UIN Jakarta and BPIP RI on Thursday, (05/16/2024).

Before the lecture began, UIN Jakarta's Student Activity Units (UKM) participated in the event, including a recitation of the Qur'an by Hiqma UIN Jakarta, a prayer led by LDK Syahid, followed by entertainment from KMM Riak and Teater Syahid.

The main event started with a report on the activities delivered by the Deputy for Inter-Institutional Relations, Socialization, Communication, and Networks of BPIP, Ir. Prakoso, M.M. This was followed by speeches from the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., and the Head of BPIP RI, Prof. Drs. KH. Yudian Wahyudi, M.A., Ph.D.

The signing of the cooperation agreement between BPIP RI and UIN Jakarta was conducted by the Rector of UIN Jakarta and the Deputy for Inter-Institutional Relations, Socialization, Communication, and Networks of BPIP RI. Along with the signing, UIN Jakarta and BPIP RI exchanged souvenirs as mementos.

Before the general lecture began, there was an introduction to the Pancasila ideology development delivered by Prof. Dr. Ermaya Suradinata, S.H., M.H., M.S., an expert in Geopolitics and Geostrategy Management from BPIP RI. He discussed the relationship between geopolitics and Pancasila.

Prof. Ermaya stated that the world's geopolitics is no longer dominated by Europe but has shifted to East and Central Asia due to conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine war. According to him, Soekarno proposed Pancasila to eliminate colonialism because Pancasila serves as the worldview and source of all laws in Indonesia.

“Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is like the garuda whose hands are firmly clasped and never let go. This is what must be maintained as the fundamental premise of the state with the Pancasila worldview,” explained Prof. Ermaya on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The Pancasila socialization and book review session featured Dr. Darmansjah Djumala, S.E., M.A., an expert in Foreign Relations Strategy from BPIP RI, UIN Jakarta’s Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., the author of "Pancasila from Indonesia for the World," Bernada Rurit, and the Head of UIN Jakarta’s Quality Assurance Agency, Prof. Dr. Khamami Zada, S.H., M.A., MDC.

In his material, Dr. Darmansjah Djumala explained that the Pancasila ideology is internationally recognized. He noted that this is because the Indonesian people are highly generous due to the Pancasila ideology. At the end of the event, there was a Q&A session with the audience, and the event concluded with the singing of the national song "Bagimu Negeri."
