UIN Jakarta and Bank BJB Syariah Renew Cooperation: Focus on Digitalization and Education Support

Rectorate Building, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta continues its cooperation with PT Bank Jabar Banten (BJB) Syariah Ciputat Sub-Branch Office in the Main Conference Room, Thursday (15/8/2024). 

This cooperation aims to facilitate various operational aspects and institutional development of both parties. Through this agreement, Bank BJB will provide better financial services for UIN Jakarta's academic community, including an integrated digital banking system, support for scholarship programs, as well as assistance in institutional financial management.

The signing was attended by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Affairs Din Wahid, Ph.D., and Head of International Cooperation Service Center Prof. Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem M.A. Ph.D.

Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar expressed his hope that this cooperation will strengthen the relationship between the academic world and the banking industry, and provide direct benefits for students and staff of UIN Jakarta. 

“We hope this cooperation can support each other, not only in the technical field but also in the productive-professional sector,” he said.

In line with Prof. Asep, Plt. President Director of PT Bank BJB Syariah, Ita Garmeita explained that this cooperation is an effort to maintain good relations with UIN Jakarta which has been started since 2016. She also added that previously several programs had been running. 

“Previously PT Bank BJB Syariah has held several collaborations related to financing, perol and single tuition. In the future, Bank BJB will support more UIN Jakarta programs including participating in the success of the green campus,” he said.

In addition, Head of Digital Business Division of Bank BJB Syariah, Moch. Roby Asmara revealed that this cooperation will also enable the realization of integrated digitization of education.

“We have prepared the digitization of education in the academic field which can facilitate students in the process of UKT payments, financial reports, and the like through QRIS. In addition, there will be ten thousand vouchers given to customers to buy Mixue (ice cream), so that it can increase the enthusiasm to pay UKT,” he concluded.
