UIN Jakarta Achieves Superior Accreditation

Ciputat, May 28, 2024 - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has successfully achieved Superior Institutional Accreditation. This was confirmed by the BAN-PT Decree Number 1128/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/PT/V/2024 on May 28, 2024.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, PhD, stated that achieving Superior accreditation is clear evidence of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta's commitment to continuously improving the quality of education, research, and community service. "This achievement shows that we continuously strive to improve quality in various fields to reach higher standards," he said.

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag, SH, MA, MH, added that this Superior accreditation is an important milestone in realizing UIN Jakarta's vision of internationalization. "With this recognition, we hope to strengthen UIN Jakarta's reputation not only at the national level but also internationally, and enhance our competitiveness on the global stage," explained Professor Tholabi.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Institute, Prof. Dr. Khamami Zada, MA, stated that obtaining Superior accreditation signifies UIN Jakarta's commitment to high academic standards. "We continually strive to maintain and improve our academic quality," he said.

Currently, he added, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is also pursuing international accreditation for 60 study programs through ASIIN and ACQUIN accreditation agencies. "God willing, we will achieve this goal this year," he added.

It is known that UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is one of the first State Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) with the status of State Islamic University (UIN) in Indonesia. UIN Jakarta currently offers 82 undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and professional programs across 12 faculties and the Graduate School.
