UAE delegation visits UIN Jakarta
Diorama, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis received visit from the Chairman at General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, UAE Mohamed Matar Salim Al-Kaabi on Thursday (03/04/2021) at diorama room, campus I of UIN Jakarta. His visit was accompanied by the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance, Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs Kamaruddin Amin. Also present in the event, Vice Rectors, Deans, Director of Graduate School (SPs) UIN Jakarta and Bureau Chiefs.
Amany Lubis in her remarks armly welcomed the arrival of the UAE envoy to UIN Jakarta. He hopes that UIN Jakarta can collaborate with a number of universities in the UAE in various research development programs, seminars, scholarships, professors and students exchange programs.
“I am pleased with the arrival of the UAE delegate Mohamed Matar Salim Al-Kaabi. We hope that the cooperation between Indonesia and the UAE can continue to increase and UIN Jakarta can take part in this cooperation to enrich the academic climate of UIN Jakarta in the future,” said Rector Amany .
Apart from maintaining good relationship with UIN Jakarta, Mohammed also said that the purpose of his visit was to offer various cooperation programs. “I am also grateful to be well received by the RectorAmany Lubis and other leaders of UIN Jakarta,” he said.
Regarding several questions raised by dialogue participants regarding assistance and various collaborative programs, Al-Kaabi advised them to immediately submit a proposal to the UAE. “After that, I will immediately forward the proposal to the related parties in the UAE,” said Mohammed.
For information, Al-Kaabi and his entourage visited Indonesia in order to realize a number of collaborations. One of them is the construction of a mosque in Solo, Central Java. The mosque was a gift from the Crown Prince of the UAE, Mohamed bin Zayed, as a sign of friendship with Indonesia. (usa/ns)
