Jakarta, UIN News Online – To strengthen international cooperation, UIN Jakarta holds friendship and cooperation reception with foreign countries ambassadors, attended by around 40 ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries, Thursday, (03/14/2019) at Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta
Present in the event, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Vice Rector for academic affairs Zulkifli, Vice Rector for general administration Ahmad Rodoni, Vice Rector for student and alumni affairs Masri Mansoer, Vice Rector for cooperation affairs Andi Faisal Bakti, Faculty Deans, Director of graduate school, and other invited guests.
Rector in her remarks said UIN Jakarta has a goal of becoming a center for knowledge and Islamic study in order to developing a dignified humanitarian civilization. She also added that UIN Jakarta will provide major contribution to the world community through its graduates.
“Graduates of UIN Jakarta will play an active role in the community with their moderate Islamic knowledge and practices,” said Rector.
She also added, UIN SyarifHidayatullah Jakartais also one of the universities in Indonesia that reaches the level of world recognition, such as the certification of ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), Webometrics ranking, and the QS Intelligence Unit.
“In terms of Research and Publication, UIN Jakarta has produced a number of international publications with 768 published articles. UIN Jakarta also recorded 156 copyrights ownership and 124 collaborative research documents between UIN Jakarta academics and researchers from the world's best universities,” said Amany.
Rector also emphasized that the cooperation will focus on education and human resource development. The educational sector covers 12 faculties in UIN Jakarta, including graduate schools, namely religious study, science and technology, humanities, medicine, social, and economics.
On the same occasion, Vice Rector for cooperation affairs Andi Faisal Bakti said, UIN Jakarta offered cooperation in the form of student exchange, research collaboration (inbound and outbound), visiting professors, and sending UIN Jakarta staff to partner universities to study.
“UIN Jakarta must become the world's leading university, therefore, we must continue to develop international cooperation,” said Andi. (usa)
