To Improve the Translation Industry, FAH Collaborates With HPI

FAH, UIN News Online – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta in collaboration with Indonesian Translator Association (HPI) will seek to improve the translation industry in Indonesia. The agreement was formed in MoU signing ceremony between FAH UIN Jakarta and HPI, at the meeting room of FAH UIN Jakarta.

FAH itself already had Tarjamah (Translation) study program since 1999. Some lecturers of FAH UIN Jakarta has become interpreter for President during the last few years.

Moreover, the alumni of the Tarjamah study program also publishes many kinds of translations such as documents, even films. However, neither lecturers nor students have yet to fall into the professional translation industry.

Therefore, FAH UIN Jakarta will continue to improve the quality of its academy services, including to seek any cooperation opportunities to create a professional in the translation industry. In response, FAH invites HPI to collaborate on filling various empty holes in the translation business.

“We are very pleased to be able to work together with FAH, mainly because we have a Translation program, in addition to having qualified human resources for this field,” said the Chairman of HPI Hananto P. Sudharto in his speech.

Meanwhile, Dean of FAH Dr Sukron Kamil expressed his appreciation toward the cooperation. “This cooperation is expected to make the translation industry becomes wide open,” he said.
