Three Lecturers of UIN Jakarta Won the 2019 Research Awards
Bandung, UIN News Online – Three UIN Jakarta lecturers-researchers won the 2019 Research Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. They were selected through a strict selection which was followed by lecturers and researchers from various national PTKIs. The 2019 Research award itself was given at the close of the Biannual Conference on Research Result (BCRR) at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Wednesday (12/04/2019).
The three UIN Jakarta lecturers are Asep Saepudin Jahar from the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Flori Ratna Sari from the Faculty of Medicine, and Taufik Edy Sutanto from the Faculty of Science and Technology. The awards were given directly by the Indonesian Religious Affairs Deputy Minister (Wamenag) K.H. Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi.
Wamenag in his speech appreciated the lecturers and researchers who were successfully selected as the best researchers. He also reminded that the PTKI academic community to consistently produced quality research in order to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources.
"The biggest challenge from any higher institution is this research field. The prestige of the higher institution is also very much determined by various research activities," he said.
For information, Asep submitted the research he wrote in a paper titled Bureaucratizing Sharia in Modern Indonesia: The Case of Zakat, Waqf and Family Law. As for Flori, writing research with the title Prophetic wet Cupping Practices at The Waroeng Sehat, South Tangerang: A Preliminary Study. While Taufik examines what he wrote under the title Fine-Grained Document Clustering Via Ranking And Its Application To Social Media Analytics. (usa)
