Thousands of Freshmen Start Registering for PBAK
Campus Park, UIN News Online – Thousands of new students (freshmen) began to visit the faculty booth at the campus park. They enrolled to take part in the Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK) 2018/2019 academic year which will be held on August 26-29, 2019.
Based on Coordination Meeting on Thursday (08/08/2019), Vice Rector for Student Affairs Masri Mansoer said that the numbers of PBAK participants are fluctuating due to the ongoing re-registration period for the SPMB Mandiri admission.
According to Masri, PBAK implementation is expected to go according to plan and be able to educate new students so that they can understand their rights and obligations as students. He also added that this activity must avoid the elements of hazing or physical violence.
“We remind you once again the activities of PBAK should reflect the academic quality. The new students should not be used as a punching bag of senior students,” said Masri.
To all PBAK committee, Masri hopes that all can comply with the provisions set by the university. “Hopefully the implementation of this activity can goes according to the plan,” he concluded. (usa/ns)
