The UIN Jakarta Contingent Determined to Win in the Pesona I PTKN Bandung 2022

Student Affairs Building, UIN News Online – The UIN Jakarta contingent is determined to bring home many medals at the National Arts and Sports Week (Pesona) I State Religious Higher Education (PTKN) event which will be held at UIN Bandung campus on August 8-13, 2022.

This was said by the head of Student Affairs Division of UIN Jakarta Ikhwan to UIN News Online in his office on Friday, (07/08/2022). “UIN Jakarta contingent is currently undegoing various preparations. All participants have been selected, both for art competitions and sports competitions,” he said.

It is hoped that the UIN Jakarta contingent will bring home many medals. Ikhwan also optimistic that its contingent will be able to compete at the event.

“So far, we've always been in the top five,” he said.

For information, Pesona I, which was previously known as the Indonesian PTKN Scientific, Sports, Arts and Research Week (Pionir), will be held at UIN Bandung on August 8-13 2022. Pesona I will be attended by 62 PTKN throughout Indonesia, consisting of 24 UIN , 29 IAIN, 5 STAIN, and 4 other PTKN, namely UHN I Gusti Bagus (IGB) Sugriwa Bali, IAKN Kupang, STAKN Pontianak and STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang.

Pesona I consists of at 22 competitions, consisting of 12 branches of art and 10 sports.

The art branches that are contested are Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ), Musabaqah Hifzhil Qur'an (MHQ), Musabaqah Syarhil Qur'an (MSQ), Islamic Solo Pop, Islamic Songwriting, Hadith Musicalization, Al-Qur'an Translated Poetry, Modern Qosidah, Calligraphy, Short Film, Stand Up Comedy, and Monologue. Meanwhile, the sports branches are Table Tennis, Chess, Pencak Silat (Art), Karate, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Futsal, and Wall Climbing.

The UIN Jakarta contingent at the Pesona I event only participated in nine arts and 10 sports branch. In the arts branch, the competitions that will be followed are MSQ, MTQ, MHQ, Islamic Solo Pop, Modern Qasidah, Short Film, Monologue, Al-Qur'an Poetry, and Calligraphy.

Meanwhile, the sports branches include Table Tennis, Chess, Pencak Silat, Karate, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Futsal, and Wall Climbing. (ns/usa)
