The development of MSKI at this time, explained Amelia, among them have occupied the first position in the Ministry of Research and Technology's Sinta (Science and Technology Index) out of eight MSKIs in Islamic religious colleges (PTKI). The second place is occupied by UIN Yogyakarta and the third place is occupied by the Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University.
Another development, since 2019 MSKI has implemented a KKNI-based curriculum or the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework with a strong teaching methodology. Some of the courses are in English and are taught by experienced professors with international reputations.
Then this year, MSKI collaborated with the humanitarian organization UIN Jakarta, the Social Trust Fund (STF), in providing Islamic philanthropic scholarships and with the Azyumardi Azra Schoolarship.
