The Heads of PGMI Study Programs in Indonesia Visit the PGMI FITK Study Program

FITK, UIN News Online – The Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) received a visit from the Head of Study Program and PGMI lecturers throughout Indonesia Friday-Sunday, (08/23-25 /2019) in the PPG FITK Bojongsari building.

“The delegation came from Papua, West Nusa Tenggara, Yogyakarta, Magelang, Tulungagung, Jepara, Purworejo, Surabaya, Cirebon, Bandung, Banten, Jakarta, Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Pekalongan, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sumatra, Bandar Lampung, Metro Lampung, Medan, Langsa Aceh, Lhoksmaweh, and Banda Aceh,” said the head of PGMI study program UIN Jakarta Asep Ediana Latip through short massages to UIN News Online, Thursday (08/26/2019).

He explained, they consists of 71 head of PGMI study programs and lecturers from various, both public and private, including STAI, IAIN, UIN, UM, UNIGA, STKIP, STIT, IAIM, STAIN, IIQ, UNISA, and others.

“Their visit was aimed at attending a national seminar organized by the Indonesian Lecturers Association in collaboration with the UIN Jakarta PGMI Study Program which was held at Wisma Universitas Terbuka (UT) Pondok Cabe, Tangerang Selatan, Banten,” said Asep.

During their visit, they observed the environmental conditions of the PGMI Study Program and followed by the initiation of cooperation in various aspects based on Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

“They want to establish cooperation in the fields of teaching, research, community service, and also institutional strengthening of the PGMI Study Program. Hopefully in this visit, they will get various inspirations and positive experiences to strengthen study programs in their respective campuses and regions,” explained Asep.

Also present in the event, Vice Dean of Student Affairs of FITK UIN Jakarta Khalimi and Chairman of the Indonesian Association of PGMI Lecturers Fauzan M. (usa/lrf/mf)
