The entire academic community of UIN Jakarta will get a booster shot

FK,UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta will provide booster shots for its academics. This was done in accordance with the government's program as Omicron threat looms.

This was said by Dean of The Faculty of Medicine Hari Hendarto during the first stage Implementation of the booster shot which was carried out at FK building, campus II of UIN Jakarta.

Hari said that the academic community of UIN Jakarta, both lecturers, education staff and students, would get a booster shot. For the first and second phases, the vaccine was given to lecturers and education staff. While the third stage will be given to students who have not received a booster.

Booster shot for students will be rolled after the first and second phases are completed.

However, according to Hari, booster shots for students can also be done at the nearest puskesmas.

“In principle, the entire academic community of UIN Jakarta will get a booster. But for students who are spread in various regions, they can also be vaccinated at the nearest puskesmas,” said Hari.

The first phase of booster shots for lecturers and education staff will be held on January 28, 2022 and the second phase on January 29, 2022. The vaccination program is held in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Jakarta and the South Tangerang City Health Office.

Based on UIN News Online observation, during the first phase of the booster shots, the academic community seemed enthusiastic and willing to queue to get the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.

“Booster shots will be administered as half doses, this is inline with studies that confirmed the efficacy of that dosage,” said Hari. (ns/usa)
