The 4th ICQAIHE is inaugurated in Jakarta
Jakarta, UIN News Online – The 4th International conference on Quality Assurance of Islamic Higher Education (ICQAIHE) was officially opened in Jakarta, Monday (10/28/2019). By raising the theme on “Quality Assurance for Higher Education 4.0 in the Islamic World: Learning from the Past and Meeting the Future of Challenges”, the conference was officiated by the Director General of Science and Technology Institution and Higher Education Patdono Suwignjo , accompanied by the President of Islamic Quality Assurance as well as the Director of the BAN PT Basaruddin.
Present in the event, the head of BAN PT Dwiwahju Sasongko, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Rector of UIN Yogyakarta Yudian W. Asmin, Rector of UIN Malang Abd. Haris, Rector of UII Yogyakarta Fatkhul Wahid, and Rector of IAIN Jember as well as Chairman of the PTKIN Rector Forum Babun Suharto.
Patdono in his welcoming speech reminded all university leaders about the challenges that must be faced by all higher education institutions, these challenges were the 4th industrial revolution that will have an impact on various aspects of human life.
According to Patdono, the 4th industrial revolution was marked by automation in all fields of human life. This condition requires the presence of human resources that are responsive to various developments.
“Therefore, we hope this international conference can be used as a means in exchanging ideas of academic development of each university in order to improve the academic quality,” said Patdono.
Meanwhile, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis positively welcomes the implementation of this international conference. “This event is expected to provide many recommendations in improving the academic quality of national Islamic religious colleges,” she said. (usa/zm)
