The 135th Graduation Ceremony of UIN Jakarta Carries the Theme of "Character Development and the Role of Science in Societal Advancement"
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta conducted the second day of the 135th graduation ceremony on Sunday (02/23/2025), with 764 graduates successfully obtaining their degrees, adding a total of 1,505 graduates from the previous day.
The second day of the 135th graduation ceremony, as reported by UIN Online news, comprises graduates from multiple faculties: 149 graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 18 graduates from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES), 402 graduates from the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK), 88 from the Faculty of Medicine (FK), and 107 graduates from the Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU).
The event began with consecutive processions:
- Graduates, parents, and procession members enter the Harun Nasution Auditorium.
- Opening of the senate meeting by the Senate Chair, Prof. Dede Rosyada, Ph.D., M.A.
- Recitation of the Rector's Decree (SK) by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Tholabi, Ph.D., M.L., M.A., B.L., B.R.E.
- Inauguration and oath pledging of the graduates by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, Ph.D., M.A.
- Announcement of the best 135th graduates and their best theses for each study programs by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Tholabi, Ph.D., M.L., M.A., B.L., B.R.E.
"The degree we have attained is not merely an academic accomplishment or a designation; it serves as a directive for our future endeavors," Dzakwan Mustofa’ainul Akhyar, a top graduate from the Faculty of Medicine, conveyed his message to fellow graduates.
Dzakwan's speech aligns with the Rector of UIN Jakarta's message: "GPA is not the sole asset; however, the commitment to self-improvement daily is a significant factor,". Asep Saipudin Jahar underscored that intellectual capacity is not the only key t success, but the character of that person does possess.
"I advised all of you to cultivate those aspirations through the education you have attained and to avoid becoming ensnared in illusory accolades," Halim Ambiya, an alumnus of UIN Jakarta, encouraged the 135th graduates.
The 135th graduates of UIN Jakarta imbued with enthusiasm and a motivating message are now prepared to confront obstacles in the professional realm and contribute to society.
