Team of Nasheed from UIN Jakarta Gets Achievement in ASEAN Regional

Jakarta, BERITA UIN Online-- Avuntu, team of Nasheed (chants) from UIN jakarta get achievement during the event called “Pekan Ihtifal Institiusi Pengajian Tinggi se-Asean” in Universitas Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Malaysia on Wednesday-Tuesday, April 13^rd-19^th. This year, Avuntu wins the first place as the best performance and best song all at once. The second and third place were obtained by USIM Malaysia and Universitas Putra Malaysia, respectively.

Mustaqim Bunis, one of Avuntu’s personnel said to Berita UIN Online. He who studying at 8^th semester in department of Arabic education, “Before departing to Malaysia, UIN Jakarta was helped by HIQMA to conducted open recruitment to fill in Avuntu personnel because three of Avuntu’s members have already graduated last year. After completed the group, Avuntu did a routine exercise and prepare for the competition” Bunis said to Berita UIN on Friday, April 22^nd.

This achievement is something special for Avuntu who previously won the first place at Festival Arabia 2015 held by University of Al Azhar Indonesia. As information, Avuntu is a nasyid group established in 2013 with 6 personnels coming form different faculties. Nowadays, Avuntu’s personnels are Wahyu Agustian Agan (FITK), Muazir Mustaqim Bunis (FITK), TB Akbar Al Qadly (FAH), Irvan (FAH), Adi (FEB) and Aris (FSH). (Translated by Ihsan/Yaqin)
