Syahid Hospital and Hajj Hospital Received PPE Assistance from Baznas

Pondok Gede, UIN News Online – The Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital and Hajj Hospital Jakarta Received personal protective gear (PPE) assistance from the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas). Assistance provided in the form of hazmat suit, safety glasses, boots, and cover shoes at the Jakarta Haji Hospital, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Monday (3/30/2020)

The assistance was handed over by the Head of the Rumah Sehat Baznas Reza Ramdhoni to the Director of Syahid Hospital Amir Fauzi and the head of the Covid-19 Hajj Hospital Task Force Mahesa.

The assistance will be utilized by medical personnel in efforts to deal with Covid-19 patients. The amount of assistance includes 116 pieces of hazmat suits, 39 pieces of safety glasses, 164 pairs of boots, and 64 pieces of shoe cover.

“This PPE is an urgent need needed by medical personnel in handling Covid-19. They are very dependent on these protective equipment that protect them from being infected,” said Reza Romdhoni, as quoted from baznas.go.id, Monday (03/30/2020).

Reza hopes that the assistance provided can help medical staff in maximizing their duty to deal with Covid-19 patients.

“As the spearhead of handling the Covid-19 patients, they must be protected by PPE in carrying out their duties. This assistance is expected to help the medical personnel in fighting the covid-19,” he said.

Meanwhile, the head of BPKH, Anggito Abimanyu believes that the assistance will be used optimally to serve the Covid-19 patients.

Separately, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis expressed her appreciation for the assistance given by BPKH Baznas to Syahid Hospital. Hopefully all the equipment that can be useful to protect medical personnel when carrying out their duties.
