Sultan Azlan Shah University Realizes Collaboration with FU and FITK UIN Jakarta

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Sultan Azlan Shah University (USAS) Malaysia realizes academic collaboration with two faculties at UIN Jakarta, namely Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU) and Faculty of Tarbiya and Teachers Training (FITK).

This was said by the head of International Office (PLKI) UIN Jakarta Dadi Darmadi to UIN News Online on Tuesday (08/302020). “This collaboration is expected to enrich academic climate of all parties,” said Dadi.

Academic collaboration, he said, was carried out by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between USAS and the two faculties at UIN Jakarta.

One form of cooperation carried out is a student exchange program where students from USAS are sent to study at FU and FITK UIN Jakarta. “At FU, 15 students are entrusted to study in Study of  Hadith Study Program, while at FITK they are entrusted to study at the Early Childhood Teachers Education Study Program (PAUD),” he said.

In addition to student exchange program, continued Dadi, USAS intends to send its lecturers to take graduate education at UIN Jakarta. Publication collaborations and the involvement of students in various global regional competitions are also their considerations.

It is known that USAS is one of the universities in Malaysia based in Kuala Kangsa, Perak. As an Islamic college, this university offers many study programs in the field of secular science as well as special studies in Islam. (zm/usa)
