Students of SMAIT Al-Kahfi Bogor Return to Visit UIN Jakarta

Student Center, UIN News Online – After receiving a visit from a group of female students from SMAIT Al-Kahfi Bogor on Monday (05/30/2022), now it is the turn of the male students to visit the UIN Jakarta campus. They were accompanied by 10 teachers, including the principal.

“Alhamdulillah we are able to revisit UIN Jakarta,” said the principal of SMAIT Al-Kahfi Endang Rancana on Tuesday (05/31/2022).

Endang explained that the purpose of the group's visit was the same as the first group. They want to get information about UIN Jakarta and its admission process.

In addition, added Endang, SMAIT Al-Kahfi also wants to introduce its students to the development of cognitive and psychomotor abilities. This is done so that they can prepare themselves earlier in to face of competition in the world of work.

“An introduction to the campus environment and the world of work is very important, so they (students, ed) will be motivated to continue their studies and be ready to compete in the world of work,” said Endang.

For about an hour, the students received information about UIN Jakarta from one of the public relation staff, Taufan Maulana Firdaus.

Taufan in his presentation said that UIN Jakarta has 12 faculties with 56 undergraduate study programs, four professional education, 17 master programs, and three doctoral programs.

Currently, UIN Jakarta has nearly 30,000 students. They were selected through seven enrollment types, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN, SPAN-PTKIN, UM-PTKIN, SMM-PTN Barat, Independent Enrollment, and cooperation or partnership programs.

The average number of students accepted per year is approximately 6,000 new students. While the graduates per year reach more than 4,000 people.

In addition, said Taufan, UIN Jakarta also provides scholarships for underprivileged students or academically and non-academic achievers. The terms and conditions for obtaining the scholarship are regulated according to the scholarship granting institution, including individual scholarships.

For information, SMAIT Al-Kahfi is an educational institution under the Pedesaan Nusantara Foundation (YPN). This foundation houses several other educational institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools, Al-Kahfi Kindergarten/TPA, Al-Kahfi Middle School, MA Al-Kahfi, Tahfidzul Qur’an, and Super Takhasus Tahfidzul Qur’an (STTQ).
