Students from Jabodetabek Visit UIN Jakarta's Exhibition Booth
Senayan, UIN Online News – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta set up a booth at an event organized by PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) from June 20-23, 2024, at JCC Senayan, Central Jakarta. On the first and second days, UIN Jakarta's booth at the BSI International Expo was visited by 115 people from various regions.
Visitors came from diverse backgrounds, including students, UIN Jakarta alumni, celebrities, and the general public. One notable visitor was Tya Ariestya, a well-known TikTok top creator and social media personality.
Visitors came to the UIN Jakarta booth to inquire about registration procedures and fees. They also asked for information about various Study Programs (Prodi) at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Some visitors, who were UIN Jakarta alumni, also stopped by to catch up on the latest news about their campus.
At the booth, UIN Jakarta provided various merchandise such as candy, fans, keychains, pens, tote bags, and snacks. Besides merchandise, UIN Jakarta also offered brochures, including the main UIN Jakarta brochure, faculty-specific brochures, and postgraduate brochures.
The main brochure contains information about new student selection paths, various faculties and study programs, facilities, and the advantages of UIN Jakarta. It also includes details about tuition fees, scholarships, a brief explanation of Student Activity Units (UKM), and academic journals published by UIN Jakarta, such as the Indo-Islamika Journal and Ahkam Journal.
Faculty-specific brochures provide more detailed explanations about study programs, faculty facilities, partnerships, and the professors of each faculty.
Zaenal Muttaqin, a staff member from the Public Relations Information Center, explained that UIN Jakarta was invited by PT BSI Tbk as a cooperation partner between UIN Jakarta and BSI. The presence of the booth was seen as a positive opportunity for UIN Jakarta.
"Thank God, we are facilitated by BSI with the hope that UIN Jakarta can get closer to the public, prospective students, and their families," he said on Friday (June 21, 2024).
Zaenal added that UIN must continue to introduce itself to the Indonesian public, especially the people of Jabodetabek. This effort is part of UIN Jakarta's aim to make itself known to the public. UIN Jakarta is not just a university that studies Islam, but it also offers various general studies, even for non-Muslim students. Therefore, this information needs to be made available to the public.
"Hopefully, on Saturday and Sunday, we will have even more visitors to the booth," he concluded.
