Strengthening the Role of Student Santris, UIN Jakarta to Host Santri Summit 2025
Ciputat, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, through CSSMoRA, is proud to host Santri Summit 2025, set to take place on June 29, 2025, at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. This event aims to be a collaborative space for the younger generation, especially santri (Islamic boarding school students) and university students from various regions across Indonesia, driven by the spirit of "Collaboration, Innovation, Digitalization." It seeks to explore and optimize the potential of santri to grow and meet the needs of the times while upholding Islamic values and the spirit of nationalism.
Indonesia's long history is inseparable from the role of santri. From the pre-independence era, through post-independence, and up to the present day, santri have consistently been at the forefront, embodying a fighting spirit, moral values, and spirituality that strengthen the nation's identity. They have grown as agents of change, not only bringing religious values but also catalyzing technological, economic, and social development for the ummah (Muslim community) and the nation. In this digital era, the role of santri is increasingly significant, and Santri Summit 2025 serves as a platform for them to collaborate, innovate, and adapt to technological advancements and contemporary needs.
The event will be attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. KH. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A., along with the Director-General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. Suyitno, M.Ag., Director of Pesantren, Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. H. Basnang Said, S.Ag., M.Ag., and UIN Jakarta Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar M.A, Ph.D.
Santri Summit 2025 will also feature various speakers and performers from diverse backgrounds, including academics, content creators, entrepreneurs, and influencers who actively exert positive influence on Indonesia's youth. Among them are Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim, Risty Tagor, Inara Rusli, Shakira Amirah, Wirda Mansur, Dr. Elza Amelia Firdaus, El Alice, Fildzah Izzati Ishmah, Rian Rafahardi, Ang Sharly, Raihan Habib, Fardi Yandi, Faqih Difran Hanif, Uta Bicara Pede, Rasul Amin, Ahmad Widani, Raden Hanif, and Teuku Daffa.
The Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta expressed high appreciation for the organization of this event.

This activity is not only a platform for collaboration and innovation but also a momentum for participants to draw inspiration from santri who have made tangible contributions to religion, nation, and state.
