STF UIN Jakarta to Organize Ramadan Edu Fun Camp

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Social Trust Fund (STF) UIN Jakarta will organize a Ramadan Edu Fun Camp (REFC) for children aged 6 to 12 years old. The event will be held at Batu Tapak Guest House Kampung Batutapak, Cidokom, Gunung Sindur, Bogor on April 16-17, 2022.

Director of STF UIN Jakarta Amelia Fauzia on Friday (04/08/2022) said that REFC is an educational program in the month of Ramadan that aims to provide authentic experiences about Islam and philanthropy, as well as active and interactive learning of English practice.

“This activity is important for children in order to train themselves to practice socializing while fasting. Therefore, REFC activities will be packaged as attractively as possible so that participants are happy and active in participating in activities,” said Amelia.

To take part in this activity, the committee requires that the participants are children aged 6-12 years. Then because they will be staying overnight, participants are also asked to bring personal equipment, such as bedding, toiletries, prayer equipment, medicines, and food supplies.

During the activity, a number of educational materials will be provided, including intensive English learning, reading and studying the Qur'an, charity training program, and outbound or fun games.

“The focus of the activity is to teaching the kids about charity and empathy from an early age. This is in accordance with the mission of STF as one of the philanthropic institutions at UIN Jakarta,” she added.
