The event was attended by Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., Chair of the STF Board of Trustees Prof. Amany Lubis, M.A., Chair of the STF Sharia Supervisory Board Dr. Yuli Yasin, M.A., STF Executive Director Prof. Amelia Fauzia, M.A., Ph.D., Deputy Executive Director Prof. Muhammad Zuhdi, Ph.D., as well as representatives from Permata Bank Syariah and PT BPRS Harta Insan Karimah (HIK) Insan Cita, members of the STF management team, and residents from the surrounding community.
As part of the program, STF distributed 250 Ramadan care packages to beneficiaries. Fifty packages were delivered to residents of Cidokom, while the remaining 200 packages were distributed to support staff and local communities around the UIN Jakarta campus. The initiative was made possible through the support of Permata Bank Syariah and BPRS HIK Insan Cita.
In his remarks, Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar expressed his appreciation for STF and its partners in organizing the program, emphasizing that it reflects the university's commitment to social responsibility.
"Through initiatives like this, UIN Jakarta fulfills not only its educational mission but also its responsibility to contribute meaningfully to society. STF plays a vital role in managing zakat and charitable donations so that they can generate broader social benefits," he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Amany Lubis encouraged participants to make the most of the holy month of Ramadan by increasing both their worship and their concern for others.
"Ramadan is the best time for self-improvement and spiritual growth. Alongside increasing our acts of worship—especially during the last ten nights—we are also encouraged to continue sharing our blessings and praying for the well-being of others," she remarked.
STF Executive Director Prof. Amelia Fauzia explained that the Ramadan package distribution represents the organization's commitment to ensuring that ZISWAF funds directly benefit those most in need.
"This program has been made possible through the generous support of our donor partners, Permata Bank Syariah and BPRS HIK. We hope these Ramadan care packages will help ease the burden on beneficiaries while strengthening the spirit of generosity during this blessed month," she said.
She also noted that STF's mission extends beyond humanitarian assistance to improving access to education through scholarship programs for financially disadvantaged students.
"In addition to our social assistance initiatives, we continue to provide scholarships for students in need. We also hope that members of the surrounding community will help introduce and promote STF so that its impact can continue to grow," she added.
The event also featured a Ramadan sermon delivered by Dr. Rubiyanah, M.A., who reminded participants that Ramadan offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen one's piety through acts of kindness and generosity.
She emphasized that one of the defining characteristics of the righteous is their willingness to give in charity, regardless of their financial circumstances.
"Charity takes many forms. Even helping a friend with their work is considered an act of charity," she said.
Through the National Zakat Day program, STF UIN Jakarta hopes to further expand the reach of its philanthropic initiatives while fostering a stronger culture of compassion, generosity, and social responsibility within both the university and the wider community.
